There's no shortage of accommodation, though
government expense accounts have pushed prices higher than
elsewhere, with the cheapest decent doubles starting at Tsh6000,
and averaging Tsh12,000–20,000. Single rooms can usually
be shared by couples. The main concentration of budget and
mid-range hotels is in the fan-like grid of numbered streets
west of Kuu Street. There are more mid-range choices east
off Dar es Salaam Avenue, and up in Area "C", north
of the airport – a shadeless thirty-minute walk from
the centre. Daladalas from Jamatini Stand to Mnadani pass
along Arusha Road on the western edge of the area. Most of
this information here comes from Wikitravel.

New Dodoma
Hotel Railway St 026/232 1641, dodomahotel@kicheko.com.
Dodoma's venerable Railway Hotel has been superbly renovated into
one of central Tanzania's best lodgings, while keeping the attractive
courtyard architecture intact. Most of the 91 rooms, mostly twins
and all with cable TV, enclose the courtyard – some on the
second floor have balconies. The small standard ones have big
beds but small mosquito nets; better are the slightly larger deluxe
rooms, some with a/c instead of fans. Service is as polished as
the marble floors in the restaurant and bar, and there are plenty
of tables in the courtyard next to an amusing pool and fake waterfall.
Other amenities include a proper swimming pool, health club, massage
parlour and steam bath. Safe parking. Breakfast included. $40–150
